Erin, this is a very difficult question to answer! I love Massachusetts for the historical significance, but to spend any vacation time, I would have to choose Martha's Vineyard. I love the pace of life there. It seems so much more relaxed and less hectic. Plus, a favorite author/illustrator makes that her permanent residence - when she isn't traveling. That recipe binder is a wonderful example of her handiwork!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway! I would love for you to enter me. I have been away from New England for about four years now, but am returning in July for a family reunion. I have a few places on my list of "must visit"! Lots of places are just for the food. lol. One of my favorite places to visit would be Prescott Park in Portsmouth NH. The park is wonderful with all of its flowers and of course the shows that they put on in the summer.I love to see the ocean and all of the historical homes surrounding it. Strawberry Banke right across the street as well. Another would be York Beach, short Sands in particular. Walking along the shore as well as visiting the Goldenrod to watch them make saltwater taffy.Oh, I could go on and on.....White Lake in Ossipee,NH, Alton Bay(NH) for the fireworks, Sturbridge Village and Plymouth in Mass. The Vermont Country Store in Vermont.....I will stop now! lol You see it is a wonderful place to visit!!Thank you so much for sending me on a trip down memory lane. Blessings ~Sara
ReplyDeletehi erin! congrats on your 200!!! don't enter me in the giveaway...let someone else win! i just wanted to say way to go girl!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Not sure I can choose just one--Boston Market, Sturbridge Village Frye's Measure Mill, L L Bean, the whaling museum, Martha's Vineyard and many more. I also love New England!
ReplyDeleteBeing a native New Englander, I have soooo many places I love. I guess I have to narrow it down to two places. The Cape or more specifically Dennis. We had a summer cottage right on Bayview Beach for years. The next place would be the Maine coast. I love the craggy shoreline.
ReplyDelete"If youre fond of sand dunes and salty air, quaint little villages here and there. Youre sure to fall in love with old Cape Cod...." Ive never been there but its been a dream of mine to go to Cape cod, New england. I even put it on my FB status this morning in ordernto give a hint to my hubby and that was because i had just heard the song, "Connecticut" sung by Bing Crosby and Judy Garland. Had several other signs throughout today about New England so im taking it as a sign that its meant to be I must go New England soon!!
ReplyDeleteOooh please enter my name! I enjoy reading your blog. Congratulations on all your new followers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun blog you have! I found it a few years ago when we made our first trip to New England. That first trip took us to Lexington and Concord, MA, as well as Boston. We left from there and traveled to Boothbay Harbor and Bar Harbor, ME. What a wonderful time we had. We fell in long with New England and were thrilled to be able to go back to Boothbay Harbor the next year. What wonderful memories. I am hoping we can go back real soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love Susan Branch, so thanks for the opportunity to win her recipe keeper.
Blessings,
Teresa from Lancaster, PA

Congrats on your following! So hard to choose one but my top favs are Mystic, CT, and Salem, MA. Sorry can't pick just one, lol. But no matter where I am in New England, as soon as I breath in that New England air I finally feel at peace and at home.

Aw I missed this post!!! (I have an excuse as you know- I was out of the country- heehee) Congratulations on 200 followers! You have a special place here on the ol' interweb. I have so many favorite spots in New England...and all different- the mountains of Vermont are so different from the seaside in Mass....but if I had to pick just one it would have to be sitting on the porch of the Red Lion Inn, in Stockbridge, MA. Any time of the year....it's our go to place for special family meals, Christmas eve, our anniversary, when we just need a bit of cheering up or someone needs celebrating, when it's autumn and we want that chilly autumn prettiness. We take a nice drive through the beautiful Berkshires, walk down the charming Main Street of Stockbridge, and have a meal at the Red Lion, then relax in a rocking chair on the porch and talk about how beautiful it is, how wonderful WE are, and just sort of drink it all in. It's just a lovely, special, wonderful place. xx
ReplyDeleteThe Nike Air Foamposite One is making a comeback for Halloween with a spooky jack-o-lantern inspired colorway perfect for kids. Not too much info is available about this upcoming pair, but the playful take is most likely a grade school exclusive given the candy corn heel stitching that nike free flyknit doubles down as eyes for the menacing pumpkin-carving homage. Most surprising about the Nike Foamposite Halloween is the fact that Nike Sportswear decided to dress the upper in a black base instead of orange Kobe 11 which allows for the heel graphic to truly shine. A darker than usual icy outsole adds a nice finish while the Swoosh branding stands out in dark orange stitching. Check out more of basketball shoes these Halloween Foamposites after the break and be on the lookout for this pair to arrive at retailers this October.
ReplyDeleteThere’s an all-new “Skunk” Nike SB Dunk High. But don’t get too excited, Nike free Run marijuana enthusiasts, because these don’t seem to have anything to to with your favorite herb like the last “Skunk Dunk” from 2010. This time around, the colorway is apparently inspired by an actual LeBron shoes skunk, featuring a tonally striped black textile upper with a white tongue and laces. We’re really not sure exactly what the inspiration is behind this colorway yet, especially in regards to the bright Lebron James Shoes yellow and orange marbled outsole. But there is a skunk illustration on the insole, confirming that they have something to do with skunks. Pairs are arriving now at select Nike SB retailers like Nike Air Max 2017 Premier.
Nike Sportswear brought back the Nike Sock Dart retro at the perfect time. In a climate where slip-on sock-like fitting silhouettes are a must-have, the Nike Sock Dart proved to be ahead nike free trainer 5.0 of its time seeing as how the model dates back all the way to 2004. NSW has since brought updates with the Nike Sock Dart SE ditching the translucent midfoot strap for added LeBron shoes colors while new color blockings are showcasing that the model doesn’t need to be monochromatic with that stretchy precursor to Flyknit. After a preview of three upcoming Nike Sock Dart SE colorways for Kobe shoes November 2016, today we get a detailed look at a “Greyscale” colorway perfect for any occasion. This pair looks like it jumped straight out of Pleasantville with its tonal greys giving off a black Nike Outlet Store and white aesthetic. There is a hidden pop of color with the University Red insole unit, but other than that,
