Martha's Vineyard (Part II)!

Good afternoon, everyone!
Sorry for the delay in my presenting you
these series of photographs (I feel like I'm
always apologizing to you guys... Sorry!)
It's been a tough couple of weeks for me, and
I really didn't have the heart to do anything, honestly.
But! that's all in the past; I'm feeling much better now,
and am even going to New Hampshire overnight on
Saturday to attend a wedding, so all is looking up!
And although I won't be staying in any charming
New England inns, I'll nevertheless have some nice
photographs of the area to show you all :)

Speaking of nice photographs...
allow me to continue on Martha's Vineyard!

 ♥Day Three♥
(note: this was the one day I forgot to
take photos of my breakfast!)
Having a quick bite at Macphail's

Creamy clam chowder

Beautiful homes near the Chappaquiddick ferry

Cozy

Afternoon tea at the Victorian Inn

So inviting!

Mom enjoying herself

All dressed up for the Lure Grill! (dress: Lilly Pulitzer)

Sunset Water Taxi provided by the restaurant

Picturesque views

Enjoying the ride...

Mega-mansions along the water

So lovely!

Antique trolley that then drove us directly to the restaurant

Yummy (and blurry) hor d'ouevres

Delicious lobster entree

Mom on the balcony of the restaurant

Beautiful ocean views...

Soaking it all in

Back on Main St. in Edgartown for an evening stroll

Saying hello to our inn

Gorgeous yellow roses

Sleepy home

Entrance to the renowned Charlotte Inn

Love that weather vane!

Back on Main St.

Now on S. Water St., at the entrance to our inn

Glowing parlor

♥Day Four♥
Breakfast outdoors

Mom about to enjoy her apple-cinnamon waffles

And I about to do the same!

Driving out to Aquinnah

Seafood Shack at the Gay Head lighthouse site

Gay Head!

Mom

Breathtaking...

Expansive ocean view from the parking lot

Pretty church in West Tisbury

Alley's General Store: the oldest continually-operating one in the U.S.

In Menemsha, stopping for lunch at the famous Larsen's Fish Market!

Customers eating off lobster-pots... so adorable!

Mom taken off-guard with her lunch

Delectable crab cakes

And of course, lobster rolls!

Can't get fresher seafood than Larsen's; while you eat, you can watch
the fishermen step right off their boats to bring them their catch!

Amazing antique shop in Menemsha (... but a little pricey!)

More cute shops in town

Back at the inn getting dressed for dinner
at the Atlantic Fish & Chophouse
(dress: vineyard vines)

Outside the restaurant

Impeccable seating, directly on the harbor

Doesn't get much better than this!

Great decor

Cheers!

Hands down, the most delicious thing I ate on the trip:
Stuffed Phyllo with French Goat Cheese, sauteed onions,
pine nuts & herbs with a red pepper sauce... Mmm!

Lobster & Truffle Macaroni and Cheese

My seat ♥
Out of all the restaurants I ate in during this trip,
the Atlantic Fish & Chophouse I most highly recommend!

Sun setting gracefully on Edgartown

What can I say? Absolutely beautiful...

Back at the most charming house on the island

Sigh

Rose-bordered home

Lovely house that is a part of the Charlotte Inn

I was originally going to show you our last
day on the island in this post as well, but
I didn't realize just how many pictures I had!
So I won't overload you today...

To be continued (...again!)
