Good afternoon, everyone, and Happy Friday the 13th!
Hope none of you walked under any ladders,
or broke any mirrors today! Hehe.
Well, it's just about official-- after taking my last
final on Monday, I will finally be a college graduate!
I'm so excited and relieved at the same time :)
And with graduation gears my new focus onto summertime,
and particularly, my trip to Martha's Vineyard next month!
So, I thought, since it's Friday, I'd make a B&B
Friday post especially centered on that very island.
Friday post especially centered on that very island.
Perhaps I'll inspire some of you to take a trip there soon too! ♥

The Tivoli Inn
(Oak Bluffs)
"The Tivoli inn is a beautiful Victorian gingerbread house with lots of charm and a clean and friendly atmosphere. Walking distance to town shops, restaurants, nightlife, beach, public transportation, and seasonal ferry terminals. Located in a residential setting over-looking Hiawatha Park. 3.
The Charlotte Inn
(Edgartown)
"At the heart of Martha’s Vineyard, the former haunt of whale hunters, you’ll find a captain’s house in the traditional British style. Built in 1864 for Samuel Osborne, a famous merchant, the Charlotte Inn transports you to another time; you can’t help but be swept away by its romantic atmosphere. The staff, alert to the smallest detail, cultivates a deliciously old-fashioned elegance and courtesy. The suites decorated with antique lamps and silk or linen fabrics are exquisite. Between one iced tea and the next on the flower-filled patio, discover the beautiful island including its renowned lighthouses and beaches, ideal for swimming and sailing."
Rates: $325-1000

First off congratulations on your upcoming college graduation. As a mother of three college students I commend you. Next, is there a bad place to stay on the entire island? Loved them all!
ReplyDeleteCongratulation, Graduate! :) That is a huge accomplishment and you should be very proud of yourself! You have certainly brought back many fond memories of the east coast for me. Hubby and I stayed in a B&B in Kennebunkport many years ago and fell head over heels for Maine. I could sooo live there in the summer! The architecture is amazingly beautiful! We definitely want to go back and explore more!

Congratulations, dear Erin! That is just wonderful, and I bet you cannot wait to go on your MV vacation. I'd love to stay at the Charlotte's Inn one time. I've always ogled it in passing. So lovely to see some interiors. I do love the little houses of Hiawatha Park, though. There is a pretty green and white one there with a sign saying "Morse" on the front. I have a photo taken of it a few years back and think it must be meant to be mine!
ReplyDeleteAre you on to grad school next??
Marcia
Congrats that is a huge achievement and what better place to be celebrating, hope you find lots of new photo opportunities
ReplyDeleteErin,
ReplyDeleteHURRAH!!! So very happy for you. You deserve all the best.
You're going to have a ball. I can't wait to go back to the Vineyard. Love all the people I've met there. So interesting and fun.
Good luck dear Erin,
