Good evening, everyone!
Hope you're all nestled safe at home tonight...
I know many of you, including myself, have been pummeled
by snowfall these past few weeks. Last night was a especially big one
for us in New York, and we're currently buried in over two-feet of it!
So, although my humble abode is (unfortunately) not in New England,
I'd still like to share with you a few pictures of our neighborhood's snowy
landscape this past month... and let's face it, any neighborhood
landscape this past month... and let's face it, any neighborhood
resembles New England a little bit whilst covered in snow...
which is why I think I love it so much!
The first big blizzard of 2011 (Jan. 12):
A very New England-esque house! |
An inviting path |
Cozy... |
Trekking back to our home |
Me in my trusty Bean Boots! |
The aftermath of yesterday's thundering snow-storm (Jan. 27):
View from my bedroom window about an hour ago |
Our beautiful pine trees frosted with snow |
My street |
Yep... we got it good! |

ReplyDeleteOh wow!!! If you didn't say you live in NY I would swear this was New England!!! Your neighborhood is absolutely charming!!! xoxo
ReplyDeletecrazy! The storm from last night completely missed us -- I was a little bummed, to be honest, but it was nice to not have shoveling to do this morning. :) I hope you enjoy your cozy evening - stay warm! xoxo.
ReplyDeleteArg! SOOOOO much SNOW! I can't believe it! It's going to be a wet Spring around here ;)Alyssa
ReplyDeleteVery nice snow photos! Here in upstate New York it looks like this most of winter....always pretty though, until the slushy black street snow comes, yuck. Enjoy your hot cocoa, and don't hurt yourself shoveling. Robin.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures. That walkway looks otherworldly, where the snowplow has come through. (Right? you didn't shovel that, did you?)
ReplyDeleteyay for your boots.
xx
Oh Erin...what beautiful photos...love your boots..smile...
ReplyDeleteBlessings.. and stay warm and safe!
xoxo Gert
I think I'll take you up on your advice! I've had it up to my eyeballs with snow! I live on the MA/NH line and we got slammed yesterday! I hear there's another one on the way! CALGON, TAKE ME AWAY ...!!! LOL!!! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSo much snow. Where will we put the snow when we get the storm coming in next Wednesday. Great photos Erin!!
ReplyDeleteThe weekly snowstorms are tedious. I try to tell myself that I am getting a good cardio workout by shoveling, but it is small comfort. Your photos are beautiful. As Kristen said, they look very New Englandy.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! You poor girl! We kept hearing about how the east coast was getting dumped on day after day. It's like Michigan's winter two years ago. We were out shoveling every single day of December. Amazing! That view of your street is incredible! I can only imagine how ready you all are for springtime.... :)
ReplyDeletexoxo laurie
