Hello!
♥
Continuing now with the latter half
of my second day on Nantucket . . .
Later in the afternoon, we went to the Whaling Museum
to meet up for the Historical Society's Walking Tour
Famous view of Straight Wharf
(one of the stops on the tour)
Long view
Lovely home, and a perched seagull :)
"Sunken Ship"
My seagull friend
(he was so unfazed by humans-- he kept
nearing closer and closer to our group!)
One last shot
Picturesque antique shop across the way
The Athenium
One of the most grand mansions on the island
Beautiful roses
Amazing shadow
After the tour, we went to dinner
at Cap'n Tobey's Chowder House . . .
Malibu Bay Breeze ♥
Scallop pasta with marinated grape tomatoes
Enjoying the sunset in the
gazebo at Tavern Square
Steamship Authority docking
Nantucket Bike Shop
Gorgeous
On one of the docks
Admiring the roses on the walk back
Straight Wharf in the evening
What a view!
Mom
Without a doubt, my favorite spot on the island
At the Juice Bar for some dessert
We certainly weren't the
only ones with that idea!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
in a homemade waffle cone
(it smelled, and tasted, divine!)
Mom enjoying her vanilla scoop
So beautiful

As for that "New England Proverb", may I suggest you visit Seagrille for delicious, clam filled, New England clam chowder. :)
Love that whaling museum building..., and the Wharf of course, isn't it just so charming and dreamy! And the boat over the entry way..., how about that for curb appeal..., I will include that in an upcoming post on exterior house decor for sure.
